Why is Jody obsessed with Mary? It’s easy!

Mary Zilba (left) and Jody Claman (right) are the same age…why is it such a fucking mystery why Jody hates Mary?!?!? Seriously.
Oh, that and Mary not suffering any of Jody’s absolute bullshit.
Jody grew up on a feed lot (seriously? “ranch” that supplies beef to McDonalds? that’s quite the euphemism sweetheart…) *ehem ranch* in rural Canada, and Mary knows it.
I almost feel like at some point Mary might have tried to help Jody and Jody scammed her…only to find out 15 years later that Mary still lived in the same town and knew the truth about everything. Only Mary’s way too refined to expose Jody’s truly dirty laundry…
Jody is insecure about the fact that Mary knows where she’s from, the reality about her finances and basically that she’s created this rediculous mythology about her boutique and catering business that couldn’t be further from the truth.
There’s nothing self-made about someone who was financed by their father…and your boutique does not sell new Hermes…

That makes so much sense. I wish I knew this at the beginning of season one. I remember distinctly that Mary was introducing Ronnie to JOdy, even though Mary was clearly not super excited about the idea. Well done!
